Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 12 August, 2018
Cold draw taste was nice. Lovely draw and nice aroma when burning, typical of Alex Bradley cigar. Nice earthy note with hint of spicey tone. Not an everyday cigar but non the less a relaxing weekend afternoon type of cigar.

NUB Maduro 460 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 11 August, 2018
After purchasing this cigar some time ago, it aged in my humidor for 18 months. I decided to give it a smoke during the nice summer months. Tastes in stages: In the first third the taste is mainly of dark cocoa and black pepper. It is incredibly flavoursome, but also very smooth: no bitterness at all. In the second third the dark cocoa is enhanced with a blast of dark coffee along with a good hint of black pepper. The final third consisted of coffee and leathery notes, the cocoa was much milder but the coffee notes were now joined by a leathery taste along with tge ever present black pepper. The cigar was incredibly smooth from first to last puff, despite the small size the cigar lasted for 1 hour 20 minutes. The burn was even throughout, no touchups required. Certainly one for those that enjoy bolder flavours, overall a fantastic smoke that I highly recommend.

Davidoff Winston Churchill Petit Panetela
Date Added: Saturday 11 August, 2018
Tried a smaller Davidoff last year and found it to be quite interesting so decided to try one of these. They are described as being medium/full. I found the cigar to be very light in body with very little flavour. Have to agree with Oliver - disapointing and lacking in personality. Whilst it was even burning the draw was very easy, so much so it smoked like a cigarette and as a result has to go down as the fastest burning handmade I have ever smoked. Therefore despite its modest price it is poor value for money. Taking all things in to account it does not fare well against competitors like Arturo Fuente for instance. As such I cannot recommend this cigar at all.

C.Gars Ltd Dutch Blend Corona – 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 10 August, 2018
For the price its hard to find much to fault with these cigars, obviously compared to a premium cigar twice or thrice the price it falls short but that wouldnt be a fair comparison. The construction is rough and rugged but I still had a consistent burn and draw from start to finish, ash held on surprisingly well, the only issue was with some minor fraying of the wrapper at the head of the cigar where it had been pre-cut. The flavours were basic; Tobacco flavour with some mild wood notes and nuttiness developing about half way through which tasted distinctly of almond towards the end, at least to my unrefined palate. For me the only real downside was that this cigar burned significantly faster than others that Ive had of similar vitola, Im assuming this cigar uses short filler which would explain the faster burn but for some people that might be preferable if theyre limited for smoking time.

Im happy to admit that Im not normally one to smoke anything apart from Cubans. Thats mainly because every non Cuban Has without question been pretty terrible. Even with my pallet developing and some ageing they all burn harsh and taste pretty terrible. This one however bucks that trend. The gauge probably helps but its a smooth sweet, creamy chocolate and vanilla from start to finish. Great cigar.

Regius Media Coronas - Half Corona - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 09 August, 2018
Having always been a fan of the Half Corona, perfect for the sneaky quick herf, often opting for the many circa 9 to 10 Half Coronas available. When these were added to the Regius range I was more than surprised. Excellent build and burn with just enough spice to please. Lets not forget these little stixs are less than a fiver.... Would recommend anyone just to try them for what they are.. A good value well built stick, even better kept in the Humi for a while to open up. Good job I say..
