Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Old Solara Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 16 February, 2018
So Big Ben had run its course already and the night was slowly drawing to a close. The Bairmaid was no longer working behind the bar but, instead shaking everything her moma gave her on the dance floor whilst the crowd cheered and clapped to “oops I did it again” by Britney Spears. And it was at this point in time my good mate suggested we head to the smoking area. I chose this particular cigar for that moment in time and it didn’t disappoint. I normally choose a rum to enjoy with my smoke, however the info given here was sweet, so choosing a dark whiskey I headed out back. I will forever remember NewYear18 thanks to this stick. Exactly what it says on the tin upstairs. Thanks to the guys at Cgarsltd for your quality service as always. My new favourite supplier.
Guantanamera Puritos Cigar - Pack of 5 cigars
Date Added: Wednesday 14 February, 2018
I guess these are direct competition for the Montecristo and Romeo & Julieta puritos and in my opinion fall at an apparent mid-point between the two - but come in as a little more expensive. I don't think you get more for your money with these but at an extra 20p a stick they are going to be worth trying out. The flavour is more complex than the RyJ, keeping the grassy/hay theme with a bit of nuttiness and some bolder tobacco flavours thrown in but are not quite up with those in quality of construction, although there were no problems to report. They don't have the punch of the Montecristos but are less prone to bitterness/tarriness. These are a good solid compromise. I enjoyed these overall but admittedly other puritos might offer other smokers more of what they are looking for for less money.
Guantanamera Cristales Cigar - 1 Single

I got one of these in a trial sample pack. I take my hat off as this is a very good. It’s well packed. The construction of the cigar is good. It lights very well with a more mild taste( usually a sweeter preference for myself) but did really enjoy this one. Burn time was about 45 mins. I will definitely being adding this one into my favourite list.
Gurkha Heritage Robusto Corto Cigar - 1 Single

Could of been a 5 star but both of the sticks I got were way to tight, annoying draw which is a shame because their seemed to be a lot of smoke coming outta the lit end and on one of the cigars i had a issue with the rapper not burning properly, but I probably should of let it sit in my humidor a little longer. Apart from that that flavors were great, burn ash and wrapper all looked awesome and I will probably have another at some point in the future!
Guantanamera Cristales Cigar - Pack of 5 cigars
Date Added: Monday 27 November, 2017
Imagine the scene: you've had Christmas Dinner with the extended family; much food and drink has been consumed; the only item left is a good cigar: 'I will take my port into the workshop with a cigar!', you announce. 'Good idea!' cry several present, I'll come with you!' Now, sharing a few choice sticks with friends is one thing, but handing them out like After Eights is not what you had in mind. Suddenly the image of a lot of wasted puros looms! Then you remember the box of Guantanameras. Perfect! They are cheap, Cuban, and mild. Your esteem can only rise! And, if you choose a more select brand for yourself, you need only remark: 'I like a stronger cigar myself'. A few will abandon their cigars after the first third, which is indeed very mild. One or two will stay the course, to enjoy the meatier end. But all will go home happy in the knowledge that the Old Man generously shared his cigars. Brilliant! Or you might simply enjoy one yourself. Whichever is the case, the Guantanamera Crystale is a good buy. The flavour doesn't develop, it just gets gradually a little stronger.
Germains Full Latakia Pipe Tobacco 50g Pouch
Date Added: Tuesday 31 October, 2017
Mac Baren's Vintage Syrian was (and is - if I can find one of their last tins) one of my favourite tobaccos. Cyprian Latakia by comparison is heavy and one dimensional. That being said Germains have done a nice job with this blend - I presume it is not 100% Latakia though it does look like it might be - producing a smoke that reminds me very much of the stuff my granddad used to smoke and enjoy. But watch out if you smoke it in a big bowl - I've just finished a load in my big old Savinelli 141 and by the time I got to the dying embers the smokey, tarry, leathery flavours for which this leaf is renown were overwhelming. Very nice tobacco.
