Macanudo Inspirado Orange Petit Piramide Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 13 May, 2018
Lovely wrapper, good colour well made cigar. Perfect draw, even burn producing a firm pale ash. All in all a well flavoured, full smoke. Certainly holds it own compared to the usual Cubans I smoke and a very enjoyable 45 minutes. Would certainly buy again - recommended.

Montecristo Club - Pack of 10 (10)

I suppose I tend to compare everything with Cohiba, but I didnt take to these, in fact I didnt get through half the packet. Theres an underlying promise of Havana but quickly swamped under a harsh sharpness. To be fair theyre cheaper than Cohiba, but not cheap enough for the difference. Taking into consideration that I might be biased, Im giving them three, but my inclination is more toward two.

Macanudo London Club Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 11 May, 2018
After being disappointed by the Petit Punch (very tight draw) Ive been on the look-out for a not-too-expensive Friday night cigar. Ive just found it. A mild but quite complex flavour. Im not enough of an expert to be able to give accurate taste notes, but, from memory, I was thinking (as I looked at the cigar in-between puffs thinking wow!) hints of honey and cardamom. Perfect draw and easily lasted 30mins to the band (though as Im normally a pipe smoker I do smoke slowly). Perfectly constructed but take care to make a shallow cut as I cut a little too far in the evening gloom and there was slight unravelling, though this was easily fixed with some slight moistening and rolling between my finger and thumb. Amazing value-for-money. Ill be buying more of these beauties!

Montecristo No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single

This is my desert island cigar. If I had a constant supply of these, a fathomless wine cellar, an equally endless supply of good books and a comfy chair parked on a white sand beach I would spend whatever years were to be given to me reclining in joyous repose and staring wistfully into an infinite middle distance

Montecristo Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 06 May, 2018
A delightful cigar, consistent from the first to the last lamented draw. Cedar, leather and pepper, along with a cool sweetness that is totally wonderful on the palate. When In search of the mythical never ending cigar, youd want it to be like this, never harsh and always communicating its provdence from every easy pull. So much so that despite being an infrequent cigar smoker, today I felt the need to smoke another cigar later in the day. Sadly it wasnt an Edmundo, but a giant slayer in the guise of a Jose Piedra, whilst not as sublime as the Monte, scratched the itch that it had left me with. Id give the Edmundo a 4.5, its not a No2 but it is an undeniably good smoke and one that should be a go to on a warm summers day when relaxation with no hassle is what is required. Some have said that the burn is a little uneaven, yes maybe slightly, but never did it canoe or become something that dominated the smoke. I know that I often say this, but Id urge you to try this wonderful cigar should you get the chance.

Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single

Like James mentioned these can burn unevenly, flavours for my palate came through in the first third as peppery, slight leather note and bitter chocolate, second third sweet creaminess, also found the final third to be quite hot but left longer between singular puffs could still be enjoyed however started to unevenly burn and gave up just after removing the band.
