History

Launched in November 1996 in London by Habanos S.A., Cuaba was created to revive the traditional figurado format. Named after a Taino Indian word for a torch used to light tobacco, Cuaba quickly became known for its double figurado vitolas. Initially released in smaller sizes - Divinos, Exclusivos, Generosos, and Tradicionales - it expanded in 2003 to include larger formats like Distinguidos and Salomónes. All Cuaba cigars are rolled at the Romeo y Julieta factory using premium Vuelta Abajo leaves and are totally handmade. Despite being newer than most Habanos brands, Cuaba Cuban cigars have earned a reputation for craftsmanship, tradition, and distinctive elegance.
