Launched in 1966, Diplomáticos was developed as a more affordable and slightly milder alternative to Montecristo, originally aimed at the French market. The No. 2 closely mirrors the Montecristo No. 2 in size and shape, but offers a distinctive flavour experience of its own. Over the years, Diplomáticos has earned a loyal following for its refined blend and elegant presentation. Today, the Diplomáticos No. 2 remains the only regularly available cigar in the line, proudly produced at the José Martí factory in Havana.
