This is a truly excellent smoke - and every bit as good as my fellow reviewers would suggest. I smoke two of these beauties each year - once on my birthday the other Christmas evening. There is only one thing I would add; if having tried one you find you have a taste for these magnificent Cubans, then buy yourself a box of five and put them away to age. After five years you will be rewarded with a smoke you will never forget.

Not the kind of thing I would normally buy for myself. Lucky the people I like are not cigar smokers and that I like myself enough. The initial draw is slow as would be expected from the shape but after two or three long puffs the this cigar comes alive. Wonderful aroma characterised but spice and richness. Perhaps not as strong as the smaller siblings in the Cuaba range. Something for a special occasion? For me No. I could wait only three days before temptation got the better of me and smoking this on my own on a Monday night perhaps made the experience all the better. Buy one and smoke it right away.

this cigar is in fact 9.1 inchs and has a 55 ring gauge. one of the largest cubans i have ever seen. written by chris

Impressive packaging. The largest Figurado commercially produced from Cuba…235mm with a 47 ring at the foot tapering to 42 ring on the head. Each cigar is packed an individual cedar box with slide top under a spill sheet with half moon cut. The cigar is foil wrapped with the band around the foil. The rolling is impeccable an expression of the torcedor's art practiced at the highest level. Capa: Claro/Colorado very fine grain without veins and good shine. Extraordinary construction with perfect draw and combustion. The cigar opens with mild with pleasant nutty notes on the palate. Offering loads of smoke and dark grey compact ash. 30-45 minutes into the cigar, the favours build adding richness and spicy notes to the smoke. The cigar maintains consistent flavour through the smoke building towards the end but never harsh or unpleasant. Conclusion: A great grand format cigar. A cigar of excellent tone and complexity that although smoking well now is sure to benefit
