I have to agree with David that this blend is a pretty good stand in for fans of the old style Cuban Partagas cigars. A slightly milder, and slimmer, replacement for the 898's which (like unicorn tears and rocking horse droppings) have now become impossible to find.
When I took this cigar out of the cello I immediately realised the strong barn yard smell. It smells strong and sweet. It smokes strong and sweet too. Some strong red pepper on the front of the palette with the 1st few puffs but this dies down. It is quite a complex cigar with favour notes changing…
Unfortunately my Petit Coronas Especiales suffered from poor construction at the cap. The wrapper came loose after cutting and by the halfway point it became unpleasant to smoke. The foot was also slightly cracked but it soon corrected itself after lighting. However the half that I did get to smoke…
Slow burning Smooth & creamy smoke, lovely taste. Draw was a little tight okay (possibly didn’t get enough cap off). Lasted 30-45 mins had to slow down as it was too moreish!
This cigar was one of the worst cigars i have ever smoked, in its price range.
It's burn was only one sided, it had poor taste, had to throw away at mid point, would not recommend this cigar.
Wow can this cigar hold its ash! I managed to get almost halfway through before the first ash fell, now I know it’s never a certainty, but this told me all I need to know about just how well made Plasencia Cigars are produced.
