When master blender Jonas Santana created Blackbird cigars, he wanted to make a brand that felt new and exciting, one that would appeal to the new generation of cigar smokers. Handcrafted at the Blackbird Dominicana factory in the Dominican Republic, Santana and his team use distinctive colours and bird names to create a cigar company that looks unique and fresh. They made their mainstream debut in 2019 to high praise from the cigar community. 

Jonas Santana, having a passion and love for smoking cigars, learnt the process of tobacco - From cultivating it to the final artwork of manufacturing. This shows the world the commitment he has and how he has turned a much loved hobby into a career.

They have 6 different cigars ranging in strength and flavour notes:

Crow - A medium to full bodied cigar with a slow burn and smooth draw which allows the complex flavours and notes of the grade-A long-filler tobacco to shine through. The Crow is available in Corona, Robusto and Gran Toro

Jackdaw - A mild to medium bodied cigar wrapped in a Connecticut leaf from Ecuador. This stick has hints of sweetness and white pepper with a unique aroma thanks to the Corojo 99 blended in the filler. The Jackdaw is available in Corona or Robusto.

Cuco - A slow burn cigar with medium to full bodied smoke blended with different types of Dominican tobaccos in the filler. It has hints of chocolate and a touch of black pepper in the retro-hale. The Cuco is available in Corona and Robusto.

Finch - A mild smoke with a smooth draw and hints of white pepper. Blended to be the first cigar of the day with nice coffee notes. The Finch is only available as a Corona.

Rook - A mild to medium bodied cigar with a very nice aroma and a natural sweetness taste. It is blended to provide a creamy profile on every third of the smoke. The rook is only available as a Corona.

Unkind - A medium bodied cigar with a very distinct flavour due to the Brazilian Cubra wrapper. The blend is also made with grade-A Long-filler tobacco. The Unkind is available in Corona, Robusto and Gran Toro.
