St. Magdalene is a Scotch Whisky from the Lowland region of Scotland. The distillery is located near the town of Linlithgow. St. Magdalene was originally founded by Adam Dawson in 1795.
St Magdalene is a closed distillery, shutting its doors in 1983 so not long after this whisky was distilled which was in 1982 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2015.
AROMA without water:
Fragrant with ripe fruits of pear and apple. Vanilla is followed by beeswax aromas. Candied fruit and cinnamon notes are complemented by hints of honey.
TASTE without water:
A kick of spice with banana, orange marmalade and pear flavours. A deliciously subtle milk chocolate edge is complemented by hints of charred oak.
AROMA with water:
Floral elderflower, pear and dried apricot notes mingle with vanilla aromas as a subtle aniseed edge then develops.
TASTE with water:
Peppery with fruit: apple, pear, and lime flavours which are complemented by a beeswax edge. Charred oak lingers.
