History

The Trinidad brand takes its name from La Santísima Trinidad (“The Holy Trinity”), a beautiful 16th-century city in Cuba recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site. First rolled at the famous El Laguito factory - the same home as Cohiba - Trinidad remained a diplomatic gift until its commercial release in 1998. The original production was limited to just one vitola, the Fundadores, before the line gradually expanded with celebrated additions such as the Coloniales and Vigía.
