The new Zino Honduras line boasts an exciting tobacco blend from the Jamastran Valley and the Copan region in Honduras. The unique climate of the Copan region, with its warm days and cool nights, allows the tobacco to develop a rich aroma. During the day, high sugar production occurs and the cool nights help preserve these sugars. This results in tobacco with a complex aroma, gentle natural sweetness and moderate intensity.

The challenge was to create a harmonious blend by balancing the spicy and intense flavors of the Jamastrán Valley tobaccos with the sweet, woody, and earthy notes of the Copán tobacco. This required expert craftsmanship to ensure a smooth fusion of flavours.

The Copán tobacco, which undergoes the longest aging process, was aged for approximately three to five years. This aging adds a creamy smoothness, softening any harsher notes.

According to Edward Simon, the chief marketing officer at Oettinger Davidoff AG, the inspiration behind the new Zino brand comes from individuals who embrace a lifestyle and mindset centred around experiences, open-mindedness, and an insatiable curiosity.

Zino Davidoff, a pioneering figure in the world of tobacco, embarked on a quest for knowledge and worldly encounters at the tender age of 19 - With the creation of the new Zino cigar brand, Davidoffs goal was to capture Zino Davidoff's spirit of exploration and his ability to fully embrace the present moment.

They are thrilled with the outcome and believe that the blend of the new Zino Cigars will satisfy those seeking a taste profile characterised by earthy notes, spices, and a touch of sweetness.

The blend comprises an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Seminal 56 seco binder cultivated in Nicaragua, and fillers that encompass Honduran visus from Olancho and Jamastran, Nicaraguan visus from Ometepe, and Dominican San Vicente and San Vicente Mejorado secos.
