H. Upmann Coronas J Tubed Cigar - Box of 25

I’m definitely no cigar expert but these are currently one of my favourites, light to smoke but packed full of flavour and perfect smoke time - in between if you need a quick smoke to have all the time in the world. People who have had the right roles luckily I haven’t experienced this ( not to say it won’t happen ) but these are a definite humidor choice. I would agree with everyone else perfect for people who are just getting into cigars or fancy a cigar with a friend who hasn’t smoked many or none before. Also for people like me who has a partner that isn’t keen on the smell of tobacco these are great - she said “reminds me of holidays and isn’t as strong as some of the others you smoke” these include Romeo Y Juliette, Cohiba and Inca and various others. Highly recommend!

Being a big H. Upmann No.2 fan, I thought I’d give these smaller sticks a try as a daily smoke. Ordered 25 tubes ones and CGARS were brilliant in delivering the next day - so a huge thank you. My first try of these beautifully constructed coronas has is sadly disappointing. Upon lighting, the draw was so very hard and needing constant relighting. The first few draws provided some relatively mild smooth smoke, but by the 7th draw the taste was a acrid, tarry and almost bitter - this like no H. Upmann I’ve ever smoked. I’m putting it down perhsos a bad stick and the box needing a period of resting and ageing. I’m going to try another one in a couple of months and share my experience.

Quite disappointing In the cigars, only 1 in 2 you actually get a nice relaxing smoke, they either fall apart or have a hard draw and spend most of the time trying to keep it alight. On the positive when you get a nice “1” it is nice, burns well and gives a nice cloud and flavour, I’m not prepared to take the chance on another box of these and keep hoping for a good 1.

Unfortunately, you cannot edit reviews after they have been submitted, so this is my second review of the H.Upmann Coronas Junior – maybe this is a feature that needs to be added to the website? Within an hour of my posting my negative thoughts about these cigars, Michelle from C.Gars Ltd had emailed me looking to resolve the problem. It was explained to me that the green spots are caused by, ‘excess moisture at some point in the tobacco curing process’ and were not mould, which I was thankful to hear. Although the green spots did not affect the smoking experience, they are still not aesthetic pleasing. However, these are hand made products and a flawless wrapper cannot always be expected. Michelle was very accommodating and showed excellent customer service by sending me two more cigars. The wrapper on these was perfect and the smoking experience enjoyable. The uneven burn was limited to the first cigar from my first review, and the other cigars did not suffer from this. The draw was fine and the smoke nicely thick. This is about a half hour smoking experience. A very mild smoke, with lots of nuttiness and coffee and with almost no spice, which was pleasant. These cigars have definitely redeemed themselves and the customer service of Michelle was first-rate.

Bought a box for guests at my sons wedding so have lots of comments. Generally comments were a mellow smoke with mild varied tastes ranging from leather to barbecue? I think too much drink for this chap! Everybody said though that they were rolled too tight and hard to draw and frequently went out. Tried cutting varied lengths but still hard to smoke.
