Enjoying a nice cigar can be harder than you might think, firstly finding the correct cigar for you can be tricky but there are many variations out there so keep trying and you will find it. However finding the correct setting is even more difficult, since the smoking ban came into force it has been hard being a smoker and now the usual settings of pubs and clubs have become smoke free zones and it's getting harder to find somewhere to enjoy a good smoke and sitting outside in the cold is not the most ideal place in the world. That's why I have devised this list to help all the smokers out there find the perfect setting for your perfect cigar

Puffin Rooms

A very unique setting, the Puffin Rooms is the place to be in Liverpool. This venue is a cocktail bar with live jazz music and an array of over 200 rare whiskies available by the glass. A full menu of wine, champagne plus small dishes created by our chef to accompany your selection. Adjacent is the Turmeaus late hour cigar store and sampling lounge, where you can sample cigars until 11pm, again enjoying the atmosphere and company of others.

Boisdales

If you’re looking for an evening out then Boisdale is the place to be. They have four venues around London but I'm going to be referring to the Canary Wharf venue. Boisdale Canary Wharf has an amazing restaurant with live music, a whisky bar which has a 12 metre wall full of liquid gold, this wall contains over 1000 bottles of malt whisky one of the most extensive ranges in the world. If that isn’t enough Boisdale also boasts an Oyster Bar and Grill, serving up a selection of oysters, shellfish and scottish smoked salmon. So now we have a venue but what about cigars and where to smoke them? Well Boisdale has their own cigar shop and lounge selling New World and Cuban cigars, of which you can smoke in the lounge or go out onto the terrace where you get a lovely view of Canary Wharf. No matter what the weather the terrace is still available and Boisdales provides an awning to keep the rain away as well as outdoor heaters and blankets, so you will always be warm. If you’re going to London then Boisdale must be on the list of places to go.

The Garden Room at The Lanesborough Hotel

The Lanesborough Hotel is a high end hotel in London which also has a restaurant with a Michelin star chef, a bar which the Lanesborough Hotel claims to be a liquid museum. The hotel also provides a spa and fitness club of which won the best hotel spa for 2019. Finally we get to the Garden Room, The Lanesborough hotel has a walk in humidor selling a wide variety of Habanos cigars. Once you have chosen your cigar you can sit in the outdoor heated terrace while the cigar sommeliers cater to your needs. The setting is like sitting in your garden with plants all around almost like a secret room. A lovely place to be whilst smoking.

The Sahakian cigar shop and sampling lounge at The Bulgari Hotel

The Bulgari hotel in London is unique in the fact that they don’t run the restaurant or bar inside, instead it is the first London location for New york based Scarpetta restaurants providing high quality italian food. The sahakian cigar shop boasts the very best cigars which they claim you can't obtain anywhere else, the sampling lounge is a small but warm setting with leather sofas and chairs to keep you comfortable whilst you enjoy your smoke. To top it off the sahakian shop will look after any boxes of cigars you wish to buy, locked in a safe in the correct conditions they will also keep you updated on how your cigars are conditioning as aging can improve them.

The Corinthia Hotel

The Corinthia hotel is a high end establishment in London, with a bar and grill that Tom Kerridge has created the menu for, a restaurant with an A la carte menu and a lounge that provides afternoon tea illuminated by a crystal chandelier and then there's the Garden Lounge. The Garden Lounge is arguably London's best kept secret, a place to enjoy summer evenings or just simply to avoid the hustle and bustle of London… Oh yeah they sell cigars there too! A cigar sommelier will invite you into the walk in humidor filled with the finest cigars of which you can enjoy with food and a drink, and if it's cold they provide blankets for you and invite you to gather around the fire.

C.Gars LTD Norfolk lounge

Number 6 on our list is our own C.Gars LTD lounge in Norfolk, an ambient setting in which you can really enjoy your cigar. Once you have chosen your cigar from the impressive variety and quality that Cgars provide in the walk in humidor you can go into the lounge and enjoy with your choice of drink. You could have an espresso or soft drink for free! Or choose an alcoholic drink from the menu for an extra cost. One feature in the C.Gars LTD Lounge is the lack of TV which makes the cigar and company the centre of attention. The C.Gars LTD staff also offer a cigar cutting and lighting service for all customers, so if you’re new to cigar smoking and a bit nervous about looking “stupid”, don’t worry the staff at C.Gars LTD have got you covered.
