Sasieni pipes have been a collector's favourite since 1919.
Still made in London, using quality briar, these beautiful pipes are made in traditional shapes, with beautiful finishes.
There is a great deal of mystery surrounding the Sasieni pipe, owing largely to the fact there is such little written information about them, as is the case with many collectable pipes.
J. Sasieni apprenticed at Charatan, and moved onto Dunhill, where he eventually rose to the position of factory manager. He then opened up his own factory in 1919, believing he could improve on some of Dunhill’s methods.
Sasieni was not oblivious to the success Dunhill had achieved with its famous “White Spot” logo, and while he obviously couldn’t copy the logo exactly and to clearly differentiate his pipes from Dunhill’s, Sasieni put four blue dots on the stem of his pipes, arranged in the shape of an elongated diamond.
Sasieni pipes are among the most underrated pipes on the collectable market, usually selling for far below their real worth
