A miniature bottle of Red Tape Very Old Scotch Whisky, sealed with a cork stopper. This was bottled by Baird Taylor Ltd., Glasgow, we estimate in the 1940s to 1950s.

This bottle is from a large collection of miniatures purchased by the seller at an auction in 1979. The collection is mainly comprised of blended Scotch whiskies and single malts bottled in the first half of the 20th century.

Baird Taylor was a firm of whisky merchants established in 1838 which became a subsidiary of Distillers Company Limited in 1935.
