This Port Ellen is a 32 year old, single malt scotch whisky that comes from an Islay distillery which was stopped being used in 1983 and from then on, never reopened.
The whisky comes from the final year of production, matured in refill European oak butts it's a release of 2,964 individually numbered bottles.
Highly sought after, there won't be too many more releases of this legendary malt.

Nose: This edition is more creamy and less green or coastal compared to other releases, with delicious yet complex caramels with a hint of some smoke and menthol edge. Palate: Develops with each sip. Present are hints of coconut before dark caramels, rich juicy prunes, dates and raisins honey and treacle blend together. Finish: Dry, earthy oak before slightly cooling.
