Oscar Valladares

Oscar Valladares cigars is a relatively young company in the premium cigar industry, but it has quickly grown into a highly regarded brand, known for their innovative blends, unique packaging and commitment to quality.

Oscar Valladares was founded in 2012 by Oscar and Hector Valladares along with Bayron Duarte. Oscar previously worked as a travel guide touring the Rocky Patel factory. Eventually Rocky Patel himself decided to give him a job and over the next 9 years he had learned everything within the tobacco industry. Bayron has worked in the cigar industry for more than 20 years with General cigars and Oliva. They met by chance at the Rocky Patel factory and instantly became friends. With their combined knowledge they created the Oscar Valladares brand. Located in Danili, Honduras, Oscar used his knowledge to create exceptional cigars which stand out in a humidor.

One of the factors that contributed to the company’s rapid rise was the success of their flagship blend the “Leaf by Oscar”. It gained attention for its distinctive packaging, which featured a sleeve made of tobacco leaves instead of traditional cellophane. This innovative packaging added a visually appealing element but also helped preserve the cigars flavour.

Building on the success of the Leaf by Oscar, the company expanded its product line to include other blends, each offering its own unique profile and characteristics. The Superfly blend boasts a dark, oily, and naturally-sweet Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper over a Honduran binder from Copan, and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. The Mcfly features a beautiful dark and oily Mexican San Andres wrapper with a uniquely shaggy foot, covering a delicious Honduran binder and long filler tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua & the Dominican Republic. It is also has the most unique packaging which suits the film that it is a tribute to, Back to the Future.

Over the 12 years they have been operating, Oscar Valladares has received numerous accolades and awards for its cigars. They have high ratings from many publications and recognition at industry events such as the IPCPR trade show.
