American Blends is produced by Gawith Hoggarth, a pipe tobacco manufacturer established in the mid 1800’s. They produce all their tobacco using the finest raw materials and to this date they still use the same traditional method in their production, and in some cases they use the original machinery from the early years too!

American Blends is one of our best-selling pipe tobacco brands with a great range of classic and flavoursome blends, popular amongst pipe smokers. They feature sweet and aromatic flavours such as Black Cherry and Vanilla.

CHERRY VANILLA – Mix of Cavendish and Burley tobacco lightly cased and topped with cherry and vanilla flavours. It tastes like an ice cream cone with cherry sauce and finished with nuts! It is a mild strength pipe tobacco with a fairly strong room note. A must to try out!

COFFEE CARAMEL – A Cavendish tobacco with rich caramel and coffee flavours. Has just a hint of sweetness from the caramel flavours, and a mild bitterness from the coffee. This pipe tobacco rates mild in strength with a fairly strong room note. A treat with your perfect coffee any time of day!

SPIRIT OF SCOTLAND – Mix of sweet Virginia, Black Cavendish and Burley tobacco, moderately topped with scotch whisky. This pipe tobacco boasts light vanilla and caramel with the scotch whisky which creates a mellow Bourbon flavour. A mild tobacco, with a good mix of bitter and sweet taste, enjoy with your favourite dram of whisky!

SWEET PEACH – Mix of sweet Virginia, Cavendish and Burley tobacco flavoured with punchy peach. The peach taste comes through in waves throughout the smoke, and is delicate enough to not overpower the base tobacco. With a moderate strength and room note, these flavours combine well to give off a rich gustatory sensation to leave you satisfied!

 AMERICAN DELITE – Mix of Virginia, Cavendish and Burley tobacco, with a chocolate and vanilla flavouring and bursts of fresh fruit. This pipe tobacco has just the right amount of sweetness, and is mild enough to enjoy any time of day. It has a fairly strong room note, and is a cool long smoke that burns nice and evenly. A good smoke for those new to pipe smoking.

AMERICAN V (vanilla) – Mix of Black Cavendish and Virginia with an obvious Vanilla flavour. This popular pipe tobacco gives off the creamy vanilla taste to start with, but as you smoke it other flavours are released such as hints of fruit, butterscotch and nectar. This tobacco is mild in strength, easy to pack into the bowl, needs little effort to keep burning and leaves you with grey ash afterwards – no sticky dottle to clear up.

BLACK & BROWN – Mix of double fermented Black Cavendish, Virginia and Burley tobacco sweetened with creamy vanilla flavours. This blend boasts flavours of vanilla, cocoa and dark fermented fruits. It is a full flavoured and moderately strong tobacco, but the sweetness that comes through means it is by no means too overwhelming! Definitely one to try.

BLACK CHERRY – Mix of Black Cavendish, Virginia and Burley tobacco with a classic black cherry flavour. The tempting aroma of this tobacco is of ripe cherries and dark fruits. The taste has a mild bitterness with almond hints and the cherry flavour that carries on through the entire smoke. One of our best-selling American Blends tobaccos and does not disappoint!

CARRIBBEAN COCONUT – Mix of spicy Asian Burley, Virginia and Oriental tobacco topped with Bourbon, Vanilla and Coconut flavourings. The rich coconut flavour comes through with the sweetness that is not too over powering, but is satisfying enough to all enjoy every day.

KENTUCKY NOUGAT – Mixture of Black Cavendish and Gold Virginia tobacco topped with creamy toffee and cocoa making it a real creamy smoke on the tongue. This has a strong room note but is fairly mild in strength, making it a pleasant smoke for beginners and the experiences smoker alike. It has a lovely sweet taste that comes through from the naturally sweet Cavendish and Virginia.

ULTIMUM – Mixture of Black Cavendish, Burley and Virginia with cherry and vanilla flavouring, this tobacco is a real sweet treat and one to try if you are a fan of cherry tobacco! It is light on the tongue, and has a real pleasant aroma of ripe cherries and sweet caramel, making this tobacco a pleasure to smoke.
