Montecristo Open Slam

The Montecristo Open Slam is the latest addition to the Montecristo Open Series. It is the first time the Open range has had new vitola since it began in 2009. The Open Slam was officially launched in the UK in May 2025 at the 2025 IGNITE trade show. The Open Series was initially designed to cater to outdoor enthusiasts, particularly golfers, offering a milder smoking experience compared to the classic Montecristo line. The Open Slam continues this tradition, with its name referencing the “Grand Slam” achievement in golf.

The Open Slam is rolled in a very unique size in the Habanos portfolio. Known as an Idílicos, it measures 5 ⅗” by 52 ring gauge. It marks the first and currently only time a Cuban cigar has used this format, giving collectors and connoisseurs a brilliant reason to sample one for themselves.
