London's summer vintage cigar auction takes place June 10, with some mouthwatering Lots going under the hammer.
May 21, 2013. Highlights of London's summer vintage cigar auction include a Partagás 160th Anniversary Humidor expected to fetch up to £9,000, some well-aged current production cigars and a sensational range of Cuban-made vintage Dunhill cigars. The auction currently stands at nearly 350 Lots, so a busy night is expected at Boisdale Canary Wharf, London, on June 10.
“It’s another outstanding array of cigars,” commented Mitchell Orchant, Founder of C.Gars Ltd, which organizes the auction. “There is a significant pre-embargo selection, which always raises interest,” he continued. “And the Dunhill cigars available here are perhaps the finest ever brought together for sale in one place.”
These include a box of five individually boxed Dunhill Havana Club cigars, estimated at up to £2,000, a part box of Dunhill Seleccion Suprema No 169 valued at up to £1,300 and a selection of Dunhill Selection Suprema Montecristo No.2 from the 1970s. There is also a selection of memorabilia, such as photos of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara and a range of humidors and lighters. Canny investors will be hoping to pick up a bargain among the stellar lots, such as a cabinet of Juan Lopez No.2 from 2002 expected to fetch around £300.
