The youngest release in Glendronach's 13th batch of single-cask releases, this 2004 vintage was distilled on 29 January and bottled from a Pedro Ximenez sherry Puncheon soon after its 12th birthday in February 2016 with a cask strength ABV of 57.3% A limited number of 664 bottles were yielded.

Appearance: Deep cherry wood. Nose: Dark fruit cake is infused with hints of stem ginger syrup while bitter orange balances things out nicely with hints of toasted walnuts. Palate: Sumptuous depths of sweet dates and ripe figs hold a crisp oak herbal balance which complements the rich sherry character. Finish: Barley, cocoa and mint.

The first nosing is very discrete, but later a kind of diluted sherry smell becomes obvious. The palate is discrete too, with a kind of bitter vanilla which is rather unique. A relatively short finish, with honey hints. An very interesting bottle.
