La Flor Dominicana, also known as LFD, is a prominent brand in the premium cigar industry. Known for their complex blends and exceptional quality, you would expect them to have a long history, but that is not the case.

LFD was founded by Litto Gomez and his wife, Ines Lorenzo-Gomez, in 1996. Litto was originally from Spain and had a background in the jewellery industry, before turning his attention to something he really enjoyed - Cigars!

The couple established their company in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, which quickly gained recognition for innovative blending techniques and commitment to quality. Litto’s approach to blending involved using a diverse range of tobaccos from many different countries, which resulted in complex and flavourful cigars. La Flor Dominicana has since become known for producing cigars with rich, full-bodied flavours that appeal to the aficionado seeking a robust smoking experience.

La Flor Dominicana operates its own factory where skilled rollers handcraft each cigar with an incredible attention to detail. The company is involved in every step of the production process, from growing and selecting the tobacco, to rolling and packaging the cigars.

They continue to innovate and experiment with new blends, sizes and shapes to meet the evolving preferences of cigar enthusiasts.

Over the years, La Flor Dominicana has introduced several iconic cigar lines and have become favourites around the world! These include the Double Ligero, El Carajon and the Andalusian Bull - Which won Cigar Aficionados cigar of the year in 2016.

Overall, La Flor Dominicana cigars have earned a reputation for excellence, thanks to the commitment of Litto and Ines, as well as the team they have at their factory.
