Located at the delightful Cornmarket Pub on Fenwick Street, Liverpool.
Guests were invited to sample 2 cigars plus a complimentary first drink of choice.

Wednesday night was our tasting evening at the Cornmarket Pub in Liverpool.

The evening ran very smoothly with the rain managing to hold off, this was our second cigar event in Liverpool and again was very well attended.

We had the pleasure of starting the evening off with a superb introduction from Mitchell Orchant, Founder of C.Gars Ltd, and Scott Vines, Managing Director of Tor Imports.

We began with the My Father Flor De Las Antillas Robusto cigar - a smooth and medium bodied cigar which allowed everyone to settle down and begin to unwind from their day.

Shortly after we followed this up with a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel Gorda - a full bodied, full flavoured cigar to finish everyone's day off just right.

All attendees were very impressed with the cigars that were on offer and it a fabulous evening was had by all.

Here are a few photos from Thursday night's "Long Ashes Challenge" night at Bar Lounge in Chester. We had a fantastic evening of great smokes and perfect weather, with an added element of healthy competition!

The name of the game was the "Nub Challenge". After a brief but informative introduction from Scott from Tor Imports, each attendee fired up a Nub Sun Grown 466 and attempted to maintain their ash for as long as possible.

The winner was the person who could get the longest ash AND stand their cigar upright on it. This proved to be very tricky and many people lost their ash at the last moment. The competition was won with a very conservative 4cm of ash - a risky move - but it paid off as the longer ashes just weren't able to hold up the cigars!

After awarding the prize (an awesome tri-jet Cain lighter, not available via retailers) to the winner, we enjoyed a selection of Bar Lounge's delicious canapés and moved on to our second cigar: A Cain Daytona Robusto.

Smokes, drinks and laughter flowed long into the night and hopefully everyone else enjoyed it as much as we did! Big thanks to Scott for providing the cigars and his expertise and to the staff at Bar Lounge for being such excellent hosts. We're hoping to fit in a good few more of these events over the Summer, so watch this space for more details!
