Five Unique Cigars To Try

Unique cigars are hard to find in this day and age. Whether it is the look of them or the flavours they possess. I have selected five incredibly unique cigars that don’t just look incredible, but taste incredible too!

CLE Asylum 13 Ogre Toro

The wrapper is certainly eye-catching on this cigar. It used a Nicaraguan Habano seed wrapper with a strip of Candela laid on top, creating the barber pole look. The green wrapper may look strange, but all they do is remove moisture during the tobacco drying process, this leaves behind their chlorophyll and thus their extraordinary green colour. It uses the same tobaccos for the binder and filler as the original Asylum 13 blend. By adding the Candela wrapper leaf with the dark Nicaraguan Habano seed wrapper, it offers a unique smoking experience.

La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull

This once new concept was based on an old cigar mould that Litto Gomez, the creator of La Flor Dominicana, found in Belgium. He named it after Andalusia, which is a nod to Spain, where Litto Gomez was born.
Litto worked with his son Tony to create the Andalusion Bull, they spent a lot of time fine-tuning the blend. The result is a cigar with strong notes of hickory and leather as well as a complex spiciness of saffron and cumin.

Drew Estate Tabak Especial Toraja

This cigar draws inspiration from a special coffee that is typically grown in Indonesia’s Sulwesi region of Toraja. This is considered to be one of the world’s best coffee’s. Using this inspiration, Drew Estate has created a luscious and luxurious smoke that combines the Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade Grown Wrapper used for the Tabak Especial Medio with the Tabak Especial Oscuro’s Mexican Maduro wrapper to create a unique two-tone appearance. They surround a blend of Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos to create a cigar that’s rich, sweet and smooth.

Oscar Valladares Leaf by Oscar Maduro Robusto

Once considered one of the most exciting developments in the premium cigar market. It is developed by Oscar Valladares at his boutique factory in Danli, Honduras, with each leaf representing a deep connection between the land on which the tobaccos was grown and all the people who contributed to its production. Even the bands are made by a local company, using organic agave to craft the paper. Instead of cellophane, the torcedors have placed each cigar inside of a tobacco leaf for aging and protection.
This unique looking cigar has a beautiful oily wrapper which is full of delicious flavours and aromas.

Plasencia The Year of the Snake Culebra Edicion Limitada 2025

The Spanish word for snake is Culebra, so it is only fitting for Plasencia to release a Culebra to celebrate their latest release of the Chinese Zodiac calendar - The year of the snake. Plasencia's goal is to use the best leaves of aged tobacco exclusively in their cigars, leaving them in the hands of the best collaborators in the fields and artists of the factories.
