Guests included West Ham and Liverpool legend, Julian Dicks, who is one of football's finest hard men; Donny Brasco film producer, Alan Greenspan; and Seishi Tanaka, the world famous Japanese designer of the TST range of footwear.

'We also got to christen Boisdale Canary Wharf's splendid cigar balcony with three double-banded Seleccion Orchant Havanas: a San Cristobal La Fuerza 2005, a Bolivar Royal Corona 2009, and, not least, an El Rey del Mundo Tainos 2001 Vegas Robaina Classico 1999.

'The cigars were smokin', and so was Reuben James the Soul Band who were absolutely excellent.
