Dunhill Pipes – The Best High Grade Pipes Available

Alfred Dunhill was an English tobacconist, entrepreneur and inventor. He opened his first tobacconist store in London in 1907 where he offered a unique service blending tobacco specifically for each of his individual clients. His pipe range was originally sourced from independent pipe makers, but as he was not satisfied with their quality, he decided to start producing pipes himself and opened up a workshop in 1910.

Around 1915, Alfred introduced to his pipes the White Spot Dot, which became his trademark. It showed staff and clients the correct way of positioning the hand-cut mouthpiece on the Dunhill pipe.

Alfred Dunhill had just 2 principles that he stuck to with regards to the production of his pipes. Firstly, he ensured that each pipe was made of only the finest briar with exact care and expert craftsmen. Secondly, that the pipes would be priced accordingly so that the client would recognise the value of the product. Dunhill pipes are made to last a lifetime.
