Hosted in the vibrant heart of Spain, the anniversary evening was an extraordinary tribute to five generations of agricultural dedication, craftsmanship, and family values that have shaped the global cigar landscape.
Five Generations of Tobacco Mastery
The Plasencia story began in 1865, when Don Eduardo Plasencia planted the family's first tobacco seeds in Vuelta Abajo, Cuba. Over 160 years and five generations later, the family's passion has endured through major historical shifts—moving their operations to Nicaragua and Honduras, where they grew to become one of the largest producers of premium organic and estate-grown tobacco in the world.
Today, under the leadership of Néstor Andrés Plasencia and the Plasencia family, the brand continues to set the benchmark for quality, sustainability, and blending mastery, producing iconic lines such as the Alma Fuerte, Alma del Campo, and Cosecha series.
