With a cigar in the hand and a twinkle in the eye, you won't find a more entertaining companion to celebrate the Chinese New Year with than The Monkey. For The Monkey, there is never a dull moment. They, like Davidoff, see time as something to be filled beautifully and filled to overflowing. A lively and irrepressible spirit, the playful presence at any gathering. They are simply loveable enthusiasts, eager to experience all the various flavours life has to offer. Flavours which Davidoff are equally eager to supply.
The Habano Ecuadorian wrapper hand-picked from the centre of the plant is delighting the eyes with a reddish colour and a shiny/oily texture.
The first puffs remind one the smell of a spring forest after a rainfall with some grassy notes. At the end of the first third and until the last puff, the cigar is constantly changing flavours and playing with the palate. The creaminess of the wrapper together with the sweetness of the Mexican binder are tempering the spicy character of the Nicaraguan Ometepe Visus and the Peruvian Seco filler tobaccos.
No less than 5 different tobacco origins are creating a complex body and rich flavours of roasted bread, fruit, chocolate and cream. A playfulness ranging from sweet to peppery notes is making this cigar worth being a “Year Of” cigar.
