From the long-running Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice range comes a 2001 vintage Dalmore single malt Scotch whisky.
The distillery gained notice in 2002 when a 62 year old release became the most expensive bottle of whisky priced at just over £25,000.
This Connoisseurs Choice Dalmore was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2015 from refill ex-Sherry hogsheads.
A non-chill filtered whisky bottled at an ABV of 46%.
Nose without Water:
Fresh with green apple, pear, and melon aromas. Tropical pineapple notes are complemented by an eucalyptus edge.
Palate without Water:
Explodes with chilli spice initially followed by banana, grapefruit, and toasted walnuts. Lime citrus combines with lingering liquorice on the tongue.
Nose with Water: Initially sweet with banana, peach, and plum aromas with a hint of rose petal. A subtle menthol note develops.
Palate with Water: Peppery with vanilla, raspberry, and toasted almonds. Fresh cucumber combines with a herbal finish.
