2023 was a year full of great experiences and beautiful cigars, from already established favourites to new releases that thrived in todays market. If you are anything like us, we know the struggle of searching through the masses to find our next herf… So with that being said, here is a list of our top 10 cigars of 2023 and who knows, maybe one of these will be your next favourite!
To start of the list we have this beautiful 20-30 minute smoke from the Cuban portfolio. Now this one is a fan favourite and has been a staple in many Cuban Cigar smokers daily rotation for a while. This shorter format gives you the perfect cigar to fill them small breaks you get throughout the day. Creamy with hints of coffee which goes down beautifully alongside a latte or cappuccino.
9) Inka Secret Blend Red Cristales
Another beautiful cigar takes up the number 9 spot… The Inka Secret Blend Red Cristales is a long but thin cigar which allows the intensity of this cigar to shine through. A bold, full bodied cigar full of sweetness throughout its entirety. A Long, satisfying finish on the cigar leaves you with a sense of fulfilment and will definitely be one to keep you going throughout the day.
Does this really need any introduction? The Montecristo No. 4 is one of the most iconic Havana cigars out there and it continues to be a part of these lists year in year out. I can definitely see why these are so popular… A nice rounded medium strength with an abundance of flavours consisting of spice, floral notes which is all complimented with a sweet, cocoa undertone. Perfect with a coffee in the early afternoon.
Another Montecristo joining this list and again, I see why. Montecristo are a staple brand in the Cuban portfolio and hit the nail on the head with their flavours every time. The No. 5 is a beautiful appetiser for the Montecristo brand and will offer you notes of sweetness and spice. Another well balanced smoke that is bound to make your day that little bit more enjoyable.
Conquistador are a brand full of wonderful, handmade Nicaraguan cigars which are complex, yet well balanced. The Robusto is an easy going, mild cigar full of flavours consisting of dark chocolate and coffee with hints of leather here and there. Definitely one on this list that I would pair with a nice Latte in the morning.
5) Inka Secret Blend Blue Petit Corona
The second entrant from Inka, this time though from the other side… The Inka Secret Blend Blue Petit Corona is another, full bodied cigar laced with sweetness. A nice intensity throughout keeping you satisfied. Similarly to the rest of the brand portfolio this cigar is perfect for the most experienced cigar smoker all the way through to any novice who is starting out on their cigar journey.
4) Mitchellero Peru Robusto Extra
The first entrant from the Mitchellero Peru line, the Robusto Extra. Similar to the rest of the line, this one will have a nice, bold, well rounded flavour profile and you will be treated to yet more sweet and woody notes. We are amazed, yet not surprised at how well these Mitchellero lines are performing alongside those other Premium brands. A beautiful experience from start to finish.
Another Mitchellero takes the third spot on this list and again, we are not surprised. This Vitola has a nice, manageable enjoyment time which suits a lot of your needs, if you only have half an hour to relax, be sure to fill it with an extraordinary experience. Luxury smokes without the price tag is the best way to describe it and by the looks of it, you guys agree!
Balanced and approachable, this cigar is absolutely perfect for them 10 minute breaks. The AVO Classic Uvezian Purito boasts an impressive blend of Dominican fillers and binders with a stunning Ecuadorian wrapper. All of this comes together to create a mild to medium strength with notes of smooth cream and hints of peppery spice. Another one that absolutely flew off the shelves throughout 2023.
Claiming the top spot and rounding off this top 10 list is none other than the beautiful Mitchellero Robusto. Mitchell has truly mastered this blend and it really does show. As we always say, it is luxury without the price tag. An absolutely divine smoke that has been loved by pretty much every person that has sampled it. A perfectly balanced cigar with great flavour and complexity and in this Robusto format, it truly is remarkable.
