The Turrent family have been known for their prolific leaf growing operation, over the years they have reserved a selection of the best tobacco leaves to be aged so they could be part of a supreme flavoured cigar. Their most recent line the 1880 Series has been aged for over a decade and comes from a single harvest and fermentation. Named after the year 1880, it pays tribute to the year the Turrent family entered the tobacco growing business.
These cigars have a complex flavour and full body with distinctive notes that change throughout the smoke, making them special, unique and different.
Outstanding in expression, the 1880 Colorado has a Negro San Andres Colorado wrapper around a Criollo San Andres binder and Mexican filler. This cigar has a broad range of flavours with notes of freshly cut wood, smoky earth, moss and dark chocolate. Throughout the smoke you will find tones of honey, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon and herbs.
A cigar with a bold range of flavours and aromas, the 1880 Oscuro consists entirely of Mexican Criollo San Andres tobacco. This cigar has complex flavours of cinnamon, pepper and wood followed by hazelnut and sweetened cacao with spicy notes to finish.
The 1880 Claro has varied notes that offer a complex flavour, reaching a particularly defined medium strength and complex body that rises and changes throughout the smoke. This cigar has nuances of leather, earth, red fruits and caramel. It also has notes of smoke, flowers, coconut, cinnamon and at the end an intense wood taste.
The 1880 Maduro has a complex body and burns evenly as the smoke progresses, undoubtedly it is a cigar for connoisseurs. This full bodied cigar has a gradual tone of cinnamon, cloves and pepper, followed by notes of leather, damp earth, honey and roasted coffee.
All of the range are available in the Double robusto size however the Claro and Maduro have released a Lancero size, whilst the Maduro has a new Robusto size and the Claro has been released in a Short Robusto size.
