On a dark windy night with the moon looming over the Highlands, returning from a whisky buying trip the Directors of Robert Graham were confronted by a magnificent stag who appeared to dance in the moonlight.
Thus this new line of inspired whiskies. Coincidentally, this happened as our new store on Canongate, Royal Mile was opening in an area King David the 1st created after seeing a vision of a stag with a cross between its antlers.
Nose: Nutty aromas with nice fruits (berries, prunes and cherries) which counterbalances the nuttiness. Hints of heather.
Mouth: Hazelnuts. Raisins with a chocolate coating and a spicy kick.
Finish: Spicy (nutmeg) with dry oak and hints of leather.
