Famous for being the heart of the Teachers blend, Ardmore was rarely recognised as a single malt until recently.
This 12 year old distilled in 1986 was bottled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the distillery in 1999 (built in 1899).
A very limited edition bottling, 94 points in 2016 Jim Murray Whisky Bible.
Nose: A hint of peat is joined by refreshing fruits and a slight helping of oak.
Palate: More fruits, orange peel is followed my a delicate peat as a sweet note ensures from vanilla.
Finish: Light and delicate with sweet, floral notes.

Serge describes this whiskey as ‘it noses pretty antique. A little smoked ham too – by the way the smoke keeps growing but this baby never becomes ‘a peat monster.’
