JJ Whitley Elderflower Gin is an exceptional small batch handcrafted gin that gives off a candied sweetness, dominated by the unmistakable essence of elderflower with accents of orange blossom, honey and fresh green grass.
J.J. Whitley spent much of his childhood in old Georgian and Victorian vicarages, latterly in Daresbury – the birthplace of Lewis Carroll.
These vicarages would have had expansive kitchen gardens and natural hedgerows in which the young J.J. would have played.
As he grew older, the English countryside became the natural source of key ingredients for tantalising recipes like this Elderflower Gin, made with real elderflower extract.
Floral and sweet, with a touch of warmth from the cinnamon gathering momentum on the mid-palate.
