H. Upmann Magnum 48 (Limited Edition - 2009) - 1 Single

My one had a really firm draw, perhaps a bit too tight. Nevertheless it was still smokeable. Cigar lasted about 45ish minutes. There's a fairly sweet woodsy flavours, some floral and possibly a slight tangy aftertaste.

This cigar is quickly becoming my favourite, excellent all round..............damn fine cigar .... damn fine

This cigar is one that truly is worth getting excited about. You just have to look at it, to touch it and to smell it before you light it to know it's something special. From the very first puff the cigar offered a delicious, smooth taste, that I reckon is nearer medium than mild. My descriptive powers are somewhat lacking when it comes to flavours. I couldn't tell you whether there was a hint of chocolate or spice - but I can tell you I thoroughly enjoyed it. The cap began to unfurl a little half-way through - and honestly this was due to lack of glue rather than my cutting skills. And the burn wasn't particularly even and I had to level it up with my lighter a couple of times. So should I dock it a point then? Absolutely not! The Magnum 48, to me, is what smoking cigars is all about. An experience that rouses all the senses, not just taste, which just happens to be very, very good indeed.

To start with I thought this was a little bitter and harsh, I am a fairly new to this so bare with me. Smoking dominican cigars you could forgive me for being used to a milder cigar. But...once under way, it was rich and earthy and enjoyed it immensely and think it was the contrast to the Dominicans. Smooth, complex, great draw and even burn. A great cigar and enjoyed, I will be buying more .

well what can I say I love this Cigar - everyone has their own taste yet I would recommend this wee beauty. I'm no expert but every one I have purchased has been amazingly crafted. take your time with this one, I always find myself wanting that wee bit more as it can go quite quickly due to the sheer enjoyment. So expect a great burn, excellent draw mild but with a special flavour (perhaps due to its age). undoubtably amongst my top ten!
