Very privileged to have enjoyed one of these at a tasting and pairing night in Edinburgh Casa last night. Whiskey was 3 drams from Dalmore including the new release of the Cigar Malt. All brilliant, but this is a cigar site....
Loved this cigar. The length and gauge combo was new for me and gave me a good 1hr15min smoke in a relaxed setting. First third reminded me a little of my favoured HUp Mag 46/50's, but it really increased in intensity after that. I think if I was smoking it on it's own without the whiskey pairing, it would have felt a bit rich for me, but it was so good to experience a cigar of this calibre in a setting like Edinburgh Casa without paying for it (not directly anyway - it is in the ticket price). I wouldn't have taken a gamble on a cigar this expensive if I was just buying it to smoke myself, but last night we bought a great experience and the cigar was a huge part of that.
