Ramon Allones is one of the big names in the history of Habanos. Founded in 1837, it is one of the oldest brands still in production. The Specially Selected is a spicy and earthy Robusto rich and deeply complex with a good cool easy draw and characteristic dark wrapper. 

H. Upmann is the brand name of a premium cigar manufacturer. H. Upmann produce cigars in two regions, one being the island of Cuba where Habanos SA monopolise the tobacco industry (the Cuban state owned tobacco company) and the other region being La Romana in the Dominican Republic produced for the Franco-Spanish tobacco monopoly, Altadis SA, who are part of the Imperial Tobacco group.

Since 1845 the Robaina family has farmed tobacco continuously on its precious vegas (fields) at Cuchillas de Barbacoa situated in the San Luis district of the Vuelta Abajo tobacco zone. Vegas Robaina cigars were introduced in 1997 as a tribute to Cuban tobacco farmers through the figurehead of Don Alejandro Robaina whose reputation in his day for producing the finest wrapper leaves was legendary. With the Familiares fruity flavours begin the smoke with chocolate notes may also be experienced towards the final third.

Established in Havana in the year 1845, Partagás is one of the oldest cigar brands. In 1845 Don Jaime Partagás y Ravelo set up his own factory, Real Fábricas de Tobaco Partagás, after his long term employment in the Cuban tobacco business. The factory is located at 60 Industria Street, Havana. The name of the Cuban cigar factory translates to ‘Partagás Royal Tobacco Factory’, chosen because Jaime supplied Asian and European nobles with cigars. Don Jaime had some of the best tobacco at his disposal as he owned a large amount of the greatest tobacco plantations in Vuelta Abajo, Cuba. This therefore meant some of the best plantations in the world belonged to him. Owning such valuable plantations meant that he could choose from the finest tobaccos, making the brand very successful. Don Jaime has experimented with multiple fermenting and aging processes for harvested tobacco and was also the first to hire a lector to read to workers in his factory as they rolled cigars.
