A new expression from Tomintoul, a 21 Year Old Scotch Whisky!
This new edition has been created by the careful selection of mature whisky from Bourbon casks, all of which have spent 21 years in cool Scottish warehouses.
Only those casks offering classic floral and fruity characteristics with a touch of spice have been selected for this bottling.
In a time where aged stock is at a premium it is very pleasing to be able to re-introduce a 21 years old expression!
The distillery is located near to the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland in the prestigious Glenlivet Estate at the heart of the Speyside region.
The resulting richness of taste can only be achieved after careful ageing of the finest malt spirit in choice oak casks for 21 patient years.
Nose: Exudes maturity. Orange blossom honey, summer fruits and new mown hay frolic with a delicate nougat sweetness.
Palate: Subtle balance of malty sweetness and spicy oak tones. Mature fruit cake flvours emerge, tinged also with hints of cigar box. Contrives to be light yet complex.
Finish: Drying without hurry with climbing spiciness.
