  • An extremely rare and vintage Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection bottling of 53 year old Tamdhu single malt Scotch whisky.

    Distilled back in March 1960, (during the time the distillery only had two stills). Placed inside refill Sherry butt #1008 and left to mature.

    On July 2013, it was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail aged at 53 years old, with a small outturn of 36 bottles.
  • AROMA WITHOUT WATER:
    Sweet Sherry, waxed oak and spices - cinnamon and orange zest.
    TASTE WITHOUT WATER:
    Yet more sweet Sherry with ripe fruits - think banana and peaches. A subtle smokiness on the edge.

    AROMA WITH WATER:
    Rich fruitcake aromas with menthol and aniseed notes. Delicate perfumed note together with hints of milk chocolate.
    TASTE WITH WATER:
    Smokiness more to the fore with spicy, sherry wood flavours. The perfumed/floral note also present.
