    Velier Royal Navy was born from the desire to recreate the Royal Navy blend!
     
    The Royal Navy were assemblages of young rums from the various British Caribbean colonies. Tiger Shark is the second Velier Royal Navy release, a rum resulting from the forty years of experience of Luca Gargano, owner of Velier.
     
    This distillate comes from the assembly of rums distilled exclusively in pot stills and aged in the place of production, the tropics. The distilleries of origin remain absolutely secret - Impressive and magical, the new Tigershark from the Velier Royal Navy range is a blend of various distilleries from the British West Indies.
     
    On average 14 years old and bottled on Navy Strength as a tribute to the British Navy. 

    Habitation Velier Hampden 2010 LROK 6 Year Old - 67% 70cl

    An interesting vintage release of Jamaican rum from Hampden, distilled entirely in pot stills and matured for 6 years in ex-bourbon casks.
     
    Rums from Hampden are known for their heavy-ester fruity character and this one is no different...

    Nose: Spicy aromas of banana, citrus, almond and nutmeg.
    Palate: On the tongue you get a rich bouquet of flavors of citrus fruits, candied tropical fruit.You also have vanilla, candied orange and iris flowers.
    Finish: In the aftertaste, which lasts a long time, there is notes of wood, chocolate, spices and a vividness with striking complexity.

    Complex and rich on the nose with a great strength on the palate.
