Nose: Cherries, dark chocolate with a coffee hint as vanilla soon comes from the initial pour.
Palate: Caramel, nougat and burnt sugar flavours led in, followed by a slow segue into a combined smoky, salt/sweet set of taste.
Finish: Quite long for a rum bottled at standard strength, with something of that buttery caramel salty-sweet tang.
