    ROMEO Y JULIETA

Named after William Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, the origins of Romeo y Julieta as a Havana date back to 1875.

The brand rose to international fame during the early years of the 20th Century under the direction of Don ‘Pepin’ Rodriguez, a talented promoter who was amongst the first to recognise the power of the cigar band. During his heyday no less than 20,000 different bands were used in the production of cigars.

Winston Churchill became a devotee of the brand and following his visit to Havana in 1946, his name has not only been commemorated on a band, but it has also served to describe the marque’s most famous size – Romeo y Julieta Churchills.

Romeo y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Havana.

Today Romeo y Julieta is as well known around the world as ever and offers one of the widest range of tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade – sizes of any Havana brand.

    CLUB KINGS

This classic medium-boded Mareva is presented in an old-fashioned cigar tin with a flip-top lid that holds five cigars. This is the first release from the new Linea Retro range with more to follow soon.

  • 91 / 100

"Besides a few kinky veins, this is an attractive, oily and richly colored petit corona with a bold, nutty character that ushers in notes of citrus, dried berries and licorice before the woody finish. Only available in a tin of five cigars at £90 per tin, or £18 per cigar..."

Customers say
Customers generally find this Romeo y Julieta offering to be a pleasant and enjoyable smoke, particularly for newer enthusiasts or those seeking a quicker session. While many praise its flavour profile and overall experience, a notable minority have expressed significant disappointment with the draw and construction quality, leading to a polarizing experience for some.
Best suited for those new to cigars or looking for a shorter, flavourful smoke, but be aware that some customers have experienced issues with draw and construction.

Im new to cigar smoking and I was scared to try this but it was incredible. I got tastes of dark chocolate, spices, coffee, milk and I did get a burnt toast taste too but Im not sure whether thats because I charred it or not. Amazing cigar and will definetly buy again

Fairly new to cigars and very much still learning, that said i found the draw on these to be fine (perhaps a bad batch for the other reviewers) if anything my only gripe is an uneven burn although easily corrected. i found it smooth not too heavy and actually really enjoyable, i just wish they were cheaper so i could buy more.

Ive sampled two of these after just over a year in my humador and theyre fantastic little gems from Cuba and better than the others RyJ of this size, firstly because the draw was easy going though firm, with both, which isnt always the case with others... The flavour is also richer and fuller, although the strength is still an easy going medium... With the youthful flavours the same, but more prenounced: sweet fruit thatll become jam with possible caramel and cedar woods with creamy coffee and milk and dark chocolate and lovely spices... This isnt just nice packaging, these are a new and very nice Cigar, that should be sampled and in all humadors...

I am with Jordan on this one.It was an expensive loss to me too.I was not impressed at all by the quality either. If you put this against the Davidoff signature 2000 and the 702 series signature 2000 these two Davidoffs are so much better in both quality and construction with easy draws and nicer flavours.i will not be ordering this again until quality improves.Come on Cuba you can do better than this.I could only get a few puffs out of it and then it got plugged so in the bin it went.i was very disappointed
