Remy Matyin 300th Anniversary Coup begins the brand’s year-long celebration of its tricentenary.
The Cognac is a blend of Réserve Perpétuelle, or perpetual reserve—a collection of rare eaux-de-vie exclusively sourced from the Grande Champagne terroir that’s saved for future generations of cellar masters to create exquisite liquids such as the 300th Anniversary Coupe.
"The perpetual reserve is as much a process as a legacy,” explained Loiseau, who used reserves from the 290th Anniversary, of which was previously enhanced by the 275th Coupe, as well as his hand-selected eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne for the 300th Anniversary Coupe.
The limited edition Cognac is presented in an individually numbered glass decanter embossed with sharp lines that symbolize the forward motion of the Rémy Martin Centaur's javelin (the emblem of the House since 1870).
The minimalist carafe was inspired by the 250th Anniversary Coupe (created in 1974) and allows the rich amber hue of the Cognac to glow through the glass.
Created by Rémy Martin’s Cellar Master, Baptiste Loiseau, only 6,724 bottles of the limited edition Anniversary Coupe will be available worldwide.
Nose: Radiance and directness with aromas of candied orange, passion fruit, sandalwood, leather, mixed spices, undergrowth and a hint of floral notes. Rancio notes have retained freshness.
Palate: Candied fruit, passion fruit, fig, exotic fruits, nuts, descreet oaky notes, elegance & tension, a very long finish.
Finish: An impressive structure, explosiveness and a refined fresh fruit expression with a persistence that prolongs the tasting experience for a long time.
