I started looking at cigars during the lockdown, pass the time away with a nice smoke with my whisky. I wanted a cigar that would not be harsh and after reading a couple of reviews I went for Regius Robusto Cigar. Opening the packet I could smell a hint of chocolate. The smoke lasted for 30mins
When I bought this, Im pretty sure it was labelled as a Medium. (I wouldnt have ordered it if it was rated any higher.) I note now, though, its not categorised at all. The presentation is good and a nice draw, getting to the last third it gets very hot. Taste like ashtray or like a cigar that has been relit after few days. Smell is not great. Looking good but has nothing to offer besides a taste of ash.
Full to medium body without too huge a nicotine hit, but I'd still suggest it as an evening smoke or when out walking the dogs. Probably a good 45 minutes or more smoke. Nice flavour with a hint of marzipan plus some floral undertones, not too peppery. Find it goes well with a hoppy ale such as…
