Ramon Allones Petit Belicosos UK Regional Edition 2012 - 1 Single

I am a big fan of RAs and was really looking forward to this 2012 offering. Bit of a let down I'm afraid. The draw was tight and the burn unusually erratic. Even more disappointing was the fact that the cigar was, dare I say it for one of my face brands, bland! I'm not an expert and this is based upon just one lone stick however all the flavour intricacies I usually love with this brand were absent. It is as if time hadth taken away not enhanced. Was this just a poor example? I don't know.

Had a box of these in my humidor since their release and decided it's high time to see how they are coming along. Well what a treat! Perfect razor sharp burn, lashings of creamy nuts, coffee and a spice that builds towards the end. Can these possibly get any better? Time will tell but how do I keep my hands off the other nine anyway?!!

Picked this cigar up from the Liverpool shop yesterday (fret service from Ian and the team) On initial inspection the cigar felt great and looked in top notch condition. Unfortunately this didn't last once lit. From the word go the cigar was bitter and lacked any other flavour. The draw was very loose and it soon became apparent the cigar was woefully under packed. Holes appeared throughout the cigar and the burn was terrible after the first inch. The flavours stayed bitter and turned acrid. I tried to persist but got to about the half way point and decided enough was enough. Great shame as this isn't a cheap stick and 3 years old should be reaching its potential.

With this Limited Edition Ramon, I wouldn't call it a full strength smoke, definitely firmly in the medium strength category. Absolutely excellent draw and burn to it, with loads of thick, smooth, smoke. Very slight bit of spice and very slightly sweet wrapper. Really nice, slightly nutty in flavour. Gets spicier towards the end. Was expecting more though. More of a late afternoon smoke than anything else. If you are a fan of Montecristo's, especially the No. 2, this is definitely a cigar to add to your wish list!

Walked into Robert Graham in Cambridge with my other half after 2 days shopping ! Spent a lovely half hour with Andy who after hearing my fav cigar is MC 2 advised me to try the Ramon Allones Petit Belicoso. So glad i listened to his advice. what a great cigar with fantastic flavour right to the last quarter inch. I will be putting more of these in my humidor. And thank you Andy for the time you gave me and the recomendations.
