RAMON ALLONES
Ramon Allones is one of the big names in the history of Habanos. Founded in 1837, it is one of the oldest brands still in production.
A Galician by birth Ramon Allones was the first cigar manufacturer to pack his Habanos in boxes decorated with labels and stamped with his brand's emblem. He was the pioneer of the packaging tradition that we know today.
All the sizes are filled with a blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone, characterised by their intense and complex taste. Amongst the best known sizes are the Gigantes and the Specially Selected.
The whole range is composed of ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade cigars.
NO. 3
The Ramon Allones Allones No.3 measures 5 5/8” (138mm) length x 52 ring gauge and is presented in labelled boxes of ten cigars. The size is redolent of the internationally popular Montecristo Edmundo (being just 3mm shorter) and is known as a Nobleza in the cigar factories of Cuba. The only time this size has been seen before was in 2017 with the Limited Edition, Partagas Serie No.1.
Ramón Allones plays a major role in the centuries old story of Havana cigars. Founded in 1837, it is also one of the oldest brands still in production, second only to Por Larrañaga (1834).
Between 1911 and 1927 Hunters & Frankau owned the Ramon Allones factory in Havana as well as the world wide brand rights. It is perhaps understandable then that we are particularly pleased to see this new addition to the classic range, the first in well over 40 years.

"On the lighter side in terms of appearance, this cigar draws and burns evenly. Initial notes of herbs and spices become richer, showing layers of marshmallow, candied almonds, graham cracker and a whisp of milk chocolate..."
