Por Larranaga is a brand with a long history. Founded in 1834, it enjoys a well earned reputation for its consistency and good presentation. Por Larrañaga cigars are handmade using long-filler tobacco leaves harvested from the world famous Pinar del Rio region of Cuba.

The cigars are Tripa Larga (long filler) and carry the distinct aromas found in this light to medium brand.

Tasting Notes

One of the best Cuban Marevas of the cuban size. A great balance between quality and price, this cigar offers extremely good value. Medium taste, good aroma. One of the most appreciated cigars from this manufacturer.

"...There's a salty, nutty quality to this veiny petit corona that remains medium-bodied throughout. Hints of walnut shell lead to an oaky finish..."

Mellow smooth sweet, there's honey with some distant grassiness. Leaving a caramel/honey and nutty aftertaste. A double puff or too frequent draws can bring too much grass and spiceness. So I had to be careful to take my time, which was difficult as I thoroughly enjoyed this smoke.

I love these little beauties, which are in my humble opinion, just about the best petit corona around at present.Perfect construction, even burn, creamy mouthfeel, with touches of caramel, coffee and cedar, and enough complexity to keep the interest.Just finished one with a glass of Bushmills Millenium Irish Whiskey, there is a god.

A fabulously mild to medium cigar for the beginner to Cuban cigars or for anyone who prefers a mild to medium smoke from the oldest Cuban cigar makers still in existence, So band on or off, this is a matter of your preference, if you want to remove the band DO NOT FORCE REMOVE THE BAND you will damage the wrapper and may cause the wrapper to unwrap, if the band will not slide off naturally wait until the cigar is warm and the glue holding the band has softened, When do I stop drawing? the answer is when you see wisps of smoke at the ash wrapper interface this tells you your mouth is full of smoke, How much of the cigar should i smoke? the answer is smoke the cigar until you don't like the taste anymore, the more of the cigar you smoke the more you are honoring the highly skilled person that made the cigar.

I highly recommend the Por Larranaga Petit Corona to the reviewer below it is mild to medium strength with a lovely sweet caramel and citrus taste and last 45 mins to an hour and has a nice gold band, been there and smoked the cigar you had Thought it would be an upgrade from the machine made Guantanamera Cristales of a similar price I smoke and still enjoy,I agree with you they are tasteless then tried the Por PC they are lovely so bought a cab and have never looked back, Por Larranaga is the oldest Cuban cigar makers still in existence est 1834 and highly respected by all cigar aficionado's
