Boasting to be the most northern distillery on the mainland, the distillery is situated on the south bank of the Wick River in that town.
Established in 1826, Wick proved an ideal spot for remote distilling because of its sea access.
Matured wholly in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, the ‘unashamedly excellent’ Old Pulteney 12-years-old is the definitive expression in the Old Pulteney family.
An excellent introduction to Old Pulteney!
Nose: Medium to high intensity and complexity. Dry with a hint of sea air.
Palate: Dry, medium bodied and smooth, redolent of honey and cream, faintly salty with a slight spicy note.
Finish: Sweet and long-lasting
