Moretti Black Sandblast Fishtail Mouthpiece Pipe (ART517)

The tradition of hand-made pipes in Recanati, Italy dates back to 1850. So, by the early 1900’s, Hully Briars, employing 40 workers, was already well established. Having passed a test with a Railway Company, Igino Moretti then had to choose between driving trains and making pipes. Thankfully, the latter was his choice and consequently, Igino Moretti founded the brand "Moretti Recanati" in April 1968. During his first years, Igino continued to produce pipes for others and started his own line carrying the name Moretti. Today, Marco Biagini, Igino Moretti's son-in-law, continues the hand-made tradition based on the teachings of the founder. For the pipe smoking world traveller, Moretti pipes are still made in the small town of Recanati, in the Marche region of Italy.

Here is exactly the type of Pipe Moretti is famous for.  A Black Sandblasted Large Bowl classic Italian Freehand style with plenty of wood to ensure a cool and pleasurable smoke.  Meanwhile, the Tobacco Chamber is of small proportions in comparison to maintain the smoking pleasure. The Pipe is finished with a lovely pure Black Acrylic Mouthpiece, and as usual, passes the Moretti standard of  the “Pipe Cleaner Test” which ensures a clean passage from Stem to Bowl.
