Monkey 47 is a magical gin from The Black Forest of Germany that contains 47 different botanicals, yes 47!

Bottled at 47%, they also use a 'secret weapon typical to the Black Forest' in the mix - cranberries.

Collins was a wing commander in the RAF before assisting with the rebuilding of Germany in the post war years, professionally he tried his hand it watch making once he'd settled in the the Black Forest but it turned out he was much better at gin making.

This recipe (if you choose to believe the story..) has been lovingly recreated by ginthusiast Alexander Stein and has become a cult classic within the world of gin drinkers.
